Lower School Tradition – Decorate the Doors
Teacher Appreciation Week is just around the corner! Help us kick off this special week by signing up to decorate a door at the Lower School.
The Lower School tradition continues this year. On the Friday before Teacher Appreciation Week, lots and lots of parent volunteers spend the afternoon on campus decorating ALL THE DOORS for all the wonderful teachers and staff at GHMVS.
Fun, colorful doors are guaranteed to make every teacher smile. The students love to have their classroom doors dressed up all week, and it’s a great way to add joy to their learning environment and show how much GHMV teachers and staff mean to all of us.
Here are some important things to know:
Date: Friday, April 29
Time: 2:30pm – 4:00pm
Door measurements: 84 in. tall, 35 1/2 in. wide
Here’s where you sign up https://ghmvpso.org/allthedoors
- You can work with a partner
- Butcher paper (various colors) is available at school to pick up before April 29
- Paper must be picked up BEFORE 3:15pm
- Bring plenty of tape and scissors
- It helps to have all/most of the door design already done and hang it on the door
- Everyone needs to be finished and out by 4:00pm
**If your children will be on campus, they must be with you at all times (unless they are enrolled in and attending Athenaeum).
GHMV Parents do an amazing job every year. We can’t wait to see all the doors!
PSO will share photos of all of the decorated doors in the newsletter and facebook groups.
